Common Outpatient Foot & Ankle Procedures
Bunion Surgery (Bunionectomy)
Bunions that cause persistent pain and deformity despite conservative care may require surgical correction. Our surgeons perform traditional and minimally invasive bunionectomy procedures, including the advanced Lapiplasty 3D bunion correction technique, which corrects the bunion at its root cause for longer-lasting results.
Hammertoe Correction
Hammertoes that have become rigid or painful can be surgically corrected by releasing or repositioning the affected tendons and joints. Most procedures are performed on an outpatient basis with a relatively quick recovery.
Ingrown Toenail Surgery (Permanent Correction)
For patients with chronic recurring ingrown toenails, a permanent surgical correction eliminates the problem once and for all by removing the offending portion of the nail and its root under local anesthesia.
Plantar Fascia Release
For patients with chronic plantar fasciitis that has not responded to conservative treatment, a plantar fascia release procedure can provide lasting relief by releasing the tight band of tissue causing the pain.
Neuroma Excision
Morton's neuromas that cause persistent burning and nerve pain may require surgical removal of the thickened nerve tissue when other treatments have failed.
Tendon Repair Surgery
Torn or ruptured tendons — including the Achilles tendon and peroneal tendons — often require surgical repair to restore strength and function. Our surgeons use advanced techniques to minimize scarring and recovery time.
Foot & Ankle Fracture Repair (ORIF)
Complex fractures that cannot be stabilized with casting alone may require open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) — a procedure that uses screws, plates, or rods to hold the bones in proper alignment during healing.
Heel Spur Surgery
When heel spurs cause chronic pain that doesn't respond to conservative treatment, surgical removal of the spur combined with plantar fascia release can provide permanent relief.
Ankle Stabilization Surgery
Patients with chronic ankle instability from repeated sprains may benefit from lateral ankle stabilization surgery to reconstruct the damaged ligaments and restore normal ankle function.
Cyst & Soft Tissue Removal

Step 1 — Surgical Consultation Your surgeon conducts a thorough evaluation, reviews imaging, and discusses all surgical options with you in detail. No rushing, no pressure.
Step 2 — Pre-Operative Planning You receive detailed pre-operative instructions including what to eat, what medications to pause, and what to arrange for your recovery at home.
Step 3 — Day of Surgery Most outpatient procedures take between 30 minutes and 2 hours. You go home the same day. A responsible adult must accompany you for discharge.
Step 4 — Post-Operative Care Your surgeon provides detailed aftercare instructions and schedules follow-up visits to monitor your healing progress. We are available to address any concerns during your recovery.
Step 5 — Return to Activity Recovery timelines vary by procedure. Your surgeon will provide a clear roadmap for when you can return to walking, driving, working, and exercise.
